This week…

Literacy:  We have started our work on non chronological reports today and for this unit of work the boys will be evaluating texts and composing their own non chronological report all about crocodiles.  They will need to have plenty of facts about crocodiles and a picture to use too.  In grammar this week we are continuing to work on the basic punctuation of sentences and encouraging boys to reread their work to check for capitals letters and full stops.  We also have World Book Day on Thursday and would remind boys that they need to bring in a shoe box (or similar) and perhaps some art and craft items that they may wish to use or even some toy figures (related to Krindlekrax and being underground in the sewers).

Here are examples with a different theme:

Maths: My group have finished their work on rotational symmetry and we are moving onto perimeter and area.  We will be starting with perimeter.  For each maths lesson I have also prepared a warm up which is not related to the task as a revision on topics we have already looked at this year.
