Maths:

We continue our topic on fractions this week and we are looking at equivalent fractions using a fractions wall (various apps are available for this) and also looking at fractions of amounts (starting with a visual representation and then moving to the calculations only).

English:

We will be looking at informal letters this week and the boys will be writing a letter to the main character in our class reader to offer advice on how to deal with his friendship issues.  There are links here to PSHE too.  In grammar we are identifying verbs and using exclamation marks appropriately.  Spellings issued on Friday will look at ‘ough’ words.

Looking ahead to WORLD BOOK DAY in March, we are starting to collect shoe boxes for an activity we would like to do so if you have any at home that we could have we would be very grateful.
