This week…
Maths:
My maths set are linking their learning from the previous two weeks and moving onto ordering numbers. This will include numbers up to 10,000, negative numbers and then decimal numbers. Below is a link to a game on negative numbers.

English:
This week we are looking at characterisation. We will be describing characters and this links to our grammar focus on adjectives. Spellings for this week will be plurals where we will explore where to as ‘s’, ‘es’ and ‘ies’.

Maths: My group will be looking at multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 using the knowledge of place value from last week to help them. The game below will help support this:

Literacy: This week the boys will be doing some creative descriptive writing imagining what it is like to be in the woods in the dark all alone (using our class reader as a stimulus). Grammar work will focus on identifying verbs, adverbs, adjectives and nouns in a sentence.
