Homework – Poetry
It was lovely listening to many of the poems that the boys brought in. Hopefully they have some inspiration from these and the ones that we explored in class this week as well. The homework for this weekend is to write a poem with the theme of ‘A JOURNEY’. It can be up to 20 lines long. This might be about a journey by plane, boat or train … a journey through space, through time, or to an alternative reality … the journey of a bird, an animal or a supernatural character. We hope each poem will be unique. We are entering the poems into the ‘Queenswood Poetry Competition’ which you can see advertised here. Poems should be handed in on Wednesday in neat and we will organise sending the poems off to Queenswood. Remember you can write, type and illustrate you poem. All examples will also be put up on a display in school too.
Good luck!
